محکمہ قانون، انصاف، پارلیمانی امور اور انسانی حقوق کی جانب سے جاری کردہ اعلامیے کے مطابق، آزاد جموں و کشمیر کے عبوری آئین 1974 کے آرٹیکل 50 کے سب آرٹیکل (3) کے تحت تفویض کردہ اختیارات کو بروئے کار لاتے ہوئے صدر ریاست نے چیئرمین آزاد جموں و کشمیر کونسل کی مشاورت سے یہ اہم تقرری کی ہے۔

The appointment marks a significant development for Azad Kashmir’s electoral framework. Justice (retd) Ghulam Mustafa Mughal has been appointed as the new Chief Election Commissioner of Azad Jammu and Kashmir through a formal notification.
The notification was issued by the Department of Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights. The appointment was made by the President of the State in consultation with the Chairman of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council, exercising powers under sub-article (3) of Article 50 of the Interim Constitution 1974.
